Very good coffee, both bagel and egg wrap were fantastic. There are 3 small tables outside but looks like most people order to go.

The sausage wrap for breakfast was amazing. Crisp, hot, and just the right amount of spicy. The staff was super friendly and I wound up eating a brownie batter brownie….it was too good for words. Will stop anytime I am in downtown Columbus!

While walking around downtown Columbus, we had plenty of brunch options to choose from, but we’re so glad we stopped at Chocolate Café Express. We always make it a point to support small businesses and local restaurants, and this spot truly delivered. The sign out front claiming the “best egg bacon avocado wrap in the business” immediately caught our attention, and they weren’t joking. It was hands down the best we’ve ever had. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. If you’re looking for a breakfast wrap in Columbus or a quick, high-quality brunch spot, this is it. Thank you for the great experience. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Columbus, Ohio!

Great coffee, and even greater grilled cheese! They also have stuffed beignets and Gouye butter bar that is basically a cholesterol-sugar cluster bomb. It's probably what prison authorities use for diabetics on death Row. They offer outdoor seating as well as high chairs safely tucked behind a wide window to people watch endlessly. Extremely nice staff and great service but what will knock your socks off is the music they play. Their tagline ought to be, "come for the grilled cheese, stay for the playlist"!!!

Stopped by Chocolate Café Express in German Village after brunch at Valter’s just down the road, and it was the perfect way to get a little jolt of caffeine. The space is charming and fits beautifully with the historic character of the neighborhood. The owners create a relaxed, cozy feel that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. The chocolate matcha and coffee are excellent! I can’t find anywhere you can get a chocolate matcha that isn’t overly sweet and still taste the chocolate together. It’s the kind of place where you can go after walking through German Village. One of the things I always appreciate about this area is how the local businesses add so much personality to the neighborhood. As someone who works in real estate around Central Ohio, I’m always paying attention to places that make a community special, and spots like Chocolate Café Express are part of what makes German Village such a great place to spend time. If you're exploring the area or finishing dinner nearby, this is a great stop.
